ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Felipe D'Agostini scores the game winning goal in the ORU men's soccer team's 3-1 victory at Lindenwood Wednesday evening in St. Charles, Missouri.
The Golden Eagles got things going with their first goal of the night by
Carlos Santamaria. Santamaria scored his fourth goal of the season from 10 yards out from right to left.
Reed Berry sent the ball into Santamaria who then put ORU up 1-0 in the 13
th minute.
Felipe D'Agostini scored the game winning goal in the 23
rd minute. Berry started the play sending the ball to Santamaria who then tapped the ball to D'Agostini for the goal. D'Agostini snuck past defenders and kicked the ball over the goalkeepers head to score from 20 yards out. ORU took a 2-0 lead and Berry and Santamaria earned assists on the play.
Lindenwood's leading goal scorer Anis Smajlovic put the Lions on the board in the 62
nd minute to make it a 2-1 match with a successful penalty kick.
Damani Harris put the Golden Eagles up 3-1 with his first goal of the season in the 72
nd minute. Harris sent a long ball from the left sideline over defenders to the upper right corner of the goal. He was approximately 35 yards out.
