TULSA, Okla. – The ORU men's soccer team earned a 2-1 win Friday evening over the Houston Baptist Huskies at the Case Soccer Complex.
The Golden Eagles started the game with three shots on goal in the first 10 minutes of play. However it was Houston Baptist that would score the game's first goal. Aldo Taratini put the Huskies up 1-0 in the 11
th minute with assists by D'Alessandro Herrera and Bryant Farkarlun. It wouldn't be long until the Golden Eagles would tie the game. In the 14
th minute, Nicolas Ladeira captured his first goal of the season. Ladeira sent a missile shot towards the goal from 25 yards out. After ricocheting off the left post, the ball hit the back of the net and ORU made it a 1-1 match. His goal was assisted by 
Andrew Nunez. Both teams tallied 11 shots each in the first half.
A defensive showdown in the second half kept the game tied until the 72
nd minute. 
Jose Estrada scored the game winner for ORU to seal it, 2-1. The Huskies keeper mismanaged the ball in the box and Estrada captured on the opportunity. The Golden Eagles had 11 shots in the second half, but the defense held HBU to only two and did not allow a shot on goal.
