TULSA, Okla. – Coming off back-to-back wins a week ago, the Oral Roberts women's basketball team returns to action as they travel to face Kansas City Saturday, January 7 at 2 p.m. inside the Swinney Center.

• Senior guard Hannah Cooper continues to be the driving force for the Golden Eagles as she enters the weekend ranked inside the top 3 in 11 different Summit League statistical categories. The El Paso, Texas, native sits as the league leader in assists (69), assists per game (4.6), free throws made (83) and free throw attempts (96).

• At the national level, Cooper ranks seventh in free throws made, 10th in total points, 12th in free throw attempts, 19th in points per game (20.2), 22nd in made field goals and 27th in minutes per game. The senior's scoring increase of 13.7 points per game ranks third nationally.

• Preseason All-Summit League First Team selection Tirzah Moore is coming off back-to-back double-doubles and currently tops the conference in double-doubles (7), field goal percentage (60.7) and defensive rebounds per game (7.2). Nationally, Moore ranks 15th in rebounds per game (10.8), 17th in field goal percentage and 22nd in defensive rebounds per game.

• Ruthie Udoumoh is coming off her best week as a Golden Eagle as the junior averaged 17.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 3.0 assists in the two ORU wins.

• In their last two contests, the Golden Eagles have gone 37-of-39 from the charity stripe. 

• ORU has registered 80-plus points six times on the year, marking its most through 15 games since the 2010-11 season.

• The Golden Eagles continue to lead the Summit League in scoring offense, averaging 75.3 points per game.

• ORU is coming off a difficult non-conference slate that featured three 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifiers, four Power 5 opponents and seven road contests. 

• The Golden Eagles are led by head coach Kelsi Musick, who enters her first season at the helm. Musick and her staff returned six players from last season's squad and welcomed eight newcomers, three freshmen and five transfers, in the offseason.

• In her 14th season as a head coach, Musick holds a 264-135 career record.

• In the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Golden Eagles were selected to finish third.


Inside the Matchup
• Saturday's contest marks the 55th meeting all-time between ORU and Kansas City.

• The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series, 33-21, and have won two of the last three meetings.

• On the road, ORU is 12-12 all-time against the Roos.

• Kansas City enters Saturday's matchup with a 4-11 record and has lost four straight.

• E'Lease Stafford leads the Roos in scoring at 16.9 points per game, followed by Sanaa' St. Andre at 16.3 points per game.

• In the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll, Kansas City was picked to finish sixth.
