TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts volleyball team returns home to the Mabee Center for a Summit League match against South Dakota State on Thursday, October 12 at 7 p.m.

Thursday's contest, which is ORU faculty and staff night, is free of admission and will be streamed on the Summit League Network. The match will also be available locally on KGEB-TV 53 Tulsa/Cox Cable channel 23.

Opening Serve
• ORU picked up its first Summit League and road win of the season on Saturday, defeating St. Thomas in four sets. Trinity Freeman, Kalena Vaivai and Shelbi Steen led the charge for the Golden Eagles as the trio each recorded a double-double in the contest. At the net, Natassia Baptiste registered a season-high six blocks for ORU.

• The double-double marked the fifth of the season for Freeman, who has now led the Golden Eagles in kills in 12 straight matches. The junior has also reached double-figure kills in eight of the last 10 contests. On the season, Freeman leads ORU in kills (215) and points (237.5).

• Among the Summit League, Freeman ranks first in kills per set (3.71) and points per set (4.09). At the national level, the junior sits 11th in attacks per set (11.55).

• Vaivai, who has logged double-doubles in back-to-back matches, is coming off a season-best 44 assists and 12 digs in the win over the Tommies. On the year, the senior ranks fourth in the League in total assists with 482.

• On the backrow, libero Breanna Rivas leads ORU with 206 digs and 20 service aces. Among the League, Rivas sits fourth in digs per set (3.61) and service aces.

• Defensive specialist Alaina Larson logged her second double-digit dig performance in the last four matches in the win over St. Thomas. The freshman also leads the League in service aces per set at 0.50. 

• As a team, ORU tops the League in attacks per set (36.62) and ranks second in digs per set (14.48). 

Inside the Matchup
• Thursday's contest marks the 29th meeting all-time between the Golden Eagles and Jackrabbits.

• ORU leads the series, 19-9, and has won three of the last five meetings. The two sides split last season's series, with the road team victorious in both matches.

• At home, the Golden Eagles are 12-3 all-time against South Dakota State.
