- Oral Roberts is ranked in all three top 25 national polls and receiving votes for the eighth-straight week. The Golden Eagles checked in ranked No. 18 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll. In the United Soccer Coaches poll, ORU came in at No. 25 and No. 29 in the College Soccer News poll.
- The Golden Eagles rank No. 3 in the United Soccer Coaches West Region.
- ORU is tied for first place with Denver with 10 points and a 3-0-1 record, with the lone tie coming against the Pioneers.
- Four Golden Eagles have been named Summit League Players of the Week, seven times, so far this season. Luis Flores and Jakub Grzesiak swept the league's weekly honor after ORU defeated Kansas City, 2-0, last Saturday. It's the second time the duo has swept the awards. Jose Estrada and Juan Moreno have each claimed the offensive honor as well.
- The Golden Eagles are showing they have the best defense in the Summit League allowing the fewest goals (10) of any team this season. They also have a strong offensive attack ranking second in the country in shots on goal per game and fifth in scoring offense. ORU also comes in eighth nationally in goal differential.
- Luis Flores is fourth in the country in game-winning goals and seventh in third goals (11). He is third nationally in goals per game.
- Reed Berry and Schinieder Mimy were named Summit League preseason Players to Watch.
- ORU returned six of its All-Summit League Team members which includes Shane Anderson, Berry, Francisco Lopez, Felipe Medina, Schinieder Mimy and Joel Quashie.
- The Golden Eagles were picked second in the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll along with two first place votes.
- Head Coach Ryan Bush is back for his 11th season at the helm for the Golden Eagles. Bush has an 87-67-23 all-time record at ORU as the men's soccer coach. Coach Bush was named 2019, 2021 & 2022 Summit League Coach of the Year.
- Overall, the Golden Eagles returned 19 players and added 11 newcomers to the 2023 squad.
Opponent Information
- St. Thomas enters the match with a 2-7-2 record overall and is 0-3-1 in the Summit League as the Tommies are currently 6th in the league standings.
- The Tommies are currently on a three game losing streak after a 1-0 loss at Omaha in their last outing. UST has not won a match since October 3, when the team defeated Milwaukee, 1-0.
- Faris Colic and Oliver Bieleveldt lead the Tommies with two goals scored each on the season.
- Last season, ORU defeated St. Thomas, 5-0, at home.
