TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts volleyball team fell in straight sets to South Dakota (19-25, 22-25, 7-25) Thursday night inside the Mabee Center.
Trinity Freeman topped ORU in kills for the 16th time in the last 17 contests as the junior tallied a match-high tying eight on the night.
Natassia Baptiste and
Thaynara de Jesus followed with five kills apiece. Senior
Kalena Vaivai topped ORU in assists with 13, while
Maite Solabarrieta dished out seven.
On the backrow, libero
Chloe Salcedo scooped up 13 Coyote attacks. The double-digit dig performance marked the 12th of the senior's career.
Match Notes
- Freeman led the Golden Eagles in kills for the 19th time this season and 43rd time in her career.
- The junior also totaled eight digs on the night.
- de Jesus also logged eight digs in the contest.
- Vaivai led ORU in assists for the 35th time in her career.
- Jaxie Wakley registered three kills on five swings with no errors for a .600 attack percentage.
