TULSA, Okla. – The #24 Oral Roberts men's soccer team will host its second top 25 matchup of the season at the Case Soccer Complex when the #23 Denver Pioneers come to town in what sets up as the biggest league match of the season Saturday, October 28 at 7 p.m.

It will be senior night Saturday evening as the Golden Eagles will honor 10 seniors postgame. ORU students who attend the game will receive a free ORU Soccer rally towel.

Quick Hits

• Oral Roberts is ranked in all three top 25 national polls and receiving votes for the ninth-straight week. The Golden Eagles checked in ranked No. 24 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll. In the United Soccer Coaches poll, ORU came in at No. 29 and No. 30 in the College Soccer News poll.
   
• The Golden Eagles rank No. 5 in the United Soccer Coaches West Region.
   
• ORU is currently second in the Summit League behind Denver with 14 points and a 4-0-2 record. Denver has 16 points. If the Golden Eagles win out the remainder of the regular season, they will be Summit League regular season champions for the second-straight season. ORU is guaranteed at least second place, if Omaha loses or ties one of its next two games.
   
• Four Golden Eagles have been named Summit League Players of the Week, seven times, so far this season. Luis Flores and Jakub Grzesiak swept the league's weekly accolades twice this season. Jose Estrada and Juan Moreno have each claimed the offensive honor as well.
   
• The Golden Eagles are showing they have the best defense in the Summit League allowing the fewest goals (12) of any team this season. They also have a strong offensive attack ranking first in the country in shots on goal per game and fourth in scoring offense. ORU also comes in sixth nationally in goal differential.
   
• Luis Flores is third in the country in game-winning goals and first in total goals (14). He is first nationally in goals per game.
   
• Reed Berry and Schinieder Mimy were named Summit League preseason Players to Watch.
   
• ORU returned six of its All-Summit League Team members which includes Shane Anderson, Berry, Francisco Lopez, Felipe Medina, Schinieder Mimy and Joel Quashie.
   
• The Golden Eagles were picked second in the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll along with two first place votes.
   
• Head Coach Ryan Bush is back for his 11^th season at the helm for the Golden Eagles. Bush has an 89-67-24 all-time record at ORU as the men's soccer coach. Coach Bush was named 2019, 2021 & 2022 Summit League Coach of the Year.
   
• Overall, the Golden Eagles returned 19 players and added 11 newcomers to the 2023 squad.
   

Opponent Information

• (23) Denver enters the match with a 9-2-4 record overall and is 5-0-1 in the Summit League as the Pioneers are currently 1^st in the league standings.
   
• The Pioneers are currently on a four game win streak after a 5-0 win vs. St. Thomas in their last outing. DU has not lost a match since September 25, when the team fell at Pittsburgh, 3-1.
   
• Oje Ofunrein leads the Pioneers with eight goals scored on the season.
   
• Earlier this season on September 30, ORU tied Denver, 1-1, in Denver, Colorado. 
   
• The last time ORU defeated Denver was March 6, 2020, with a 1-0 win on the road.
