TULSA, Okla. – The #25 Oral Roberts men's soccer team will finish out the 2023 regular season with a trip to face the Omaha Mavericks Saturday, November 4 at 2 p.m. in Omaha, Nebraska.

  • Oral Roberts is ranked No. 25 in this week's Top Drawer Soccer Poll and is receiving votes in the College Soccer News poll. This is the 10th-straight week ORU has received votes in national polls.
     
  • The Golden Eagles rank No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches West Region.
     
  • ORU is currently second in the Summit League behind Denver with 14 points and a 4-1-2 record. Denver has 19 points and has clinched the regular season. Regardless of the outcome against Omaha, ORU had locked in the No. 2 seed for the Summit League Tournament.
     
  • Four Golden Eagles have been named Summit League Players of the Week, eight times, so far this season. Luis Flores and Jakub Grzesiak swept the league's weekly accolades twice this season. Jose Estrada and Juan Moreno have each claimed the offensive honor as well. Flores was named player of the week on October 30.
     
  • The Golden Eagles are showing they have the best defense in the Summit League allowing the fewest goals (13) of any team this season. They also have a strong offensive attack ranking second in the country in shots on goal per game and 11th in scoring offense. ORU also comes in ninth nationally in goal differential.
     
  • Luis Flores is fifth in the country in game-winning goals and first in total goals (14). He is third nationally in goals per game.
     
  • Reed Berry and Schinieder Mimy were named Summit League preseason Players to Watch.
     
  • ORU returned six of its All-Summit League Team members which includes Shane Anderson, Berry, Francisco Lopez, Felipe Medina, Schinieder Mimy and Joel Quashie.
     
  • The Golden Eagles were picked second in the Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll along with two first place votes.
     
  • Head Coach Ryan Bush is back for his 11th season at the helm for the Golden Eagles. Bush has an 89-68-24 all-time record at ORU as the men's soccer coach. Coach Bush was named 2019, 2021 & 2022 Summit League Coach of the Year.
     
  • Overall, the Golden Eagles returned 19 players and added 11 newcomers to the 2023 squad.
     
Opponent Information
  • Omaha enters the match with a 6-6-4 record overall and is 3-2-2 in the Summit League as the Mavericks are currently third in the league standings. If Omaha defeats ORU, then the Mavericks will earn the No. 3 seed. If Omaha loses to ORU and Kansas City defeats Denver, Omaha would slide to the No. 4 seed.
     
  • The Mavericks defeated Western Illinois on the road, 2-1, in their last outing.
     
  • Theo Klein leads the Mavericks with seven goals scored on the season.
     
  • Earlier this season on October 7, ORU defeated Omaha, 5-2, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
