TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team looks to make it three-in-a-row against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane and extend the nation's fourth longest home win streak Saturday, December 2 at 7 p.m. inside the Mabee Center.

The Golden Eagles will wear their home white uniforms and fans are encouraged to wear white for Saturday's White Out!

Quick Hits

• Issac McBride was named to the Preseason All-Summit League First Team and Kareem Thompson earned a spot on the Second Team as the Golden Eagles were picked second in the league's preseason poll, but did receive seven first place votes.
 
• McBride was named Summit League Player of the Week on November 20. He's had four straight 20-plus point outings and five-straight 10-plus point outings so far this season. He continues to lead the team in scoring by averaging 22.2 points per game which puts him at 41st in the nation.
 
• ORU is on an 18 home game winning streak that goes back to the 2022-23 season when the Golden Eagles went undefeated at home winning all 16 home games. It is the nation's fourth longest home game win streak.
 
• Through six games, along with McBride, three other Golden Eagles average double-digits. Newcomer Jailen Bedford scores 12.8 ppg., DeShang Weaver averages 12.7 ppg., and Thompson with 11.0 points per game.
 
• Weaver is currently second in the nation in blocks per game averaging 3.5 bpg. He is third in the nation in total blocks with 21. He has a total of 129 career blocks which puts him seventh all-time in the ORU record book in that category.

• Oral Roberts has eight newcomers joining the squad with two true freshmen and six transfers, including three Power 5 transfers.
 
• Russell Springmann takes over at the helm of the ORU program in his first season as a head coach in his career. He is in his sixth season at ORU. He earned his first career head coaching win on Nov. 6, 2023, with a 75-71 victory over Mid-America Christian. He earned his first Division-I win with a 65-63 victory at home against Texas Southern.

• This will be the 58th meeting against Tulsa with ORU trailing the series, 21-36. The last time the two met on the hardwood was December 3, 2022, at the Reynolds Center. The Golden Eagles won, 77-66. ORU is 13-17 all-time against Tulsa at the Mabee Center. ORU has won the previous two matchups.
 
• The Golden Hurricane are 4-1 on the season. In its most recent game, Tulsa fell, 84-82, in overtime at Little Rock for its first road test of the season.
 
• Tulsa was picked to finish 10th in American Athletic Conference preseason poll.
 
• ORU is 36-59 all-time against current American Athletic Conference opponents.
 
• Four Golden Hurricanes average 10-plus points per game with PJ Haggerty leading the team with 16.6 points per game.
