TULSA, Okla. – Head Coach Luke Ward of the Oral Roberts volleyball program announced the hiring of Gabrielle Calloway as an assistant coach Thursday.
 
"We're excited about Gabby joining our staff," said Ward. "She's professional, motivated and someone that will contribute right away to building our foundation." 
 
Calloway joins the staff after a four-year playing career at Hampton University, where she served as the team captain from 2019-2022. With the Pirates, Calloway was a two-time team MVP and the Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar Award winner in 2021. In 2022, Calloway was named the Student-Athlete Academic Committee "Golden Rule" Award winner.
 
Throughout her four-year career, Calloway tallied 695 kills, 714 digs and 76 service aces.
 
While attending Hampton, Calloway assisted with the Williamsburg Volleyball Club and also served as the head coach of the Queen Lakes Middle School volleyball team in 2021.

Calloway earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Hampton in 2022 and is currently working towards a Master of Science in Sports Administration.
