TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts volleyball team and first-year head coach Luke Ward have announced the upcoming 2023 schedule. The 2023 slate features 28 regular season matches, including eight inside the Mabee Center, which will serve as the new home for the Golden Eagles.

In addition to playing its home games inside the Mabee Center, the ORU volleyball team will have a new practice gym and locker room inside the facility. 

The Golden Eagles non-conference slate features four tournaments starting with the Bearkat Invitational in Huntsville, Texas, August 25-26. ORU remains on the road for the Hampton Inn Invitational in Indianapolis, Indiana, September 1-2 followed by the Tulsa Invitational inside the Reynolds Center Sept. 7-9.

Prior to the UIW Cardinal Classic on Sept. 15 in San Antonio, Texas, the Golden Eagles travel to Lawrence, Kansas, for a Tuesday night battle against the Kansas Jayhawks, a 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifier, on Sept. 12.

ORU opens its home and Summit League slate on Sept. 21 with North Dakota State followed by a Saturday match against North Dakota. The two matches are scheduled for 7 and 1 p.m., respectively.

The Golden Eagles then hit the road for matches at Kansas City (Sept. 30), Omaha (October 5) and St. Thomas (Oct. 7) before returning to the Mabee Center for five of their next seven contests starting with South Dakota State on Oct. 12. During the home stretch, ORU will face Omaha (Oct. 17), South Dakota (Oct. 26), Kansas City (Oct. 28) and Denver (November 2).

Three of the Golden Eagles final four matches come on the road with the lone home contest serving as Senior Day on Nov. 12 against St. Thomas at 1 p.m. ORU concludes its 2023 regular season at Denver on Nov. 15. 

The top six teams advance to the Summit League Volleyball Championship, which is scheduled for Nov. 19-21 in Vermillion, South Dakota.
