- Oral Roberts ranks No. 25 in the nation according to the latest United Soccer Coaches poll.
- It will be the first game between ORU and TU at the Case Soccer Complex since October 20, 2008.
- Last weekend, the Golden Eagles went 2-0 after defeating the Big West Conference preseason favorite UC Santa Barbara, 4-0, and Cal Poly, 5-3, both on the road in California.
- After opening weekend, the Golden Eagles lead the nation in goals scored with nine. The team also ranks No. 2 in the nation in scoring offense and No. 5 in goal differential.

- Overall, the Golden Eagles returned 19 players and added 11 newcomers to the 2023 squad.

- The Golden Hurricane are ranked No. 22 in the nation according to this week's Top Drawer Soccer poll. Last weekend, Tulsa went 1-1 after falling at Louisville, 1-0, and defeating UTRGV, 4-1, at home.
- Tulsa has won three-straight in the series and ORU's last victory was in 2005. Last season, TU won the matchup, 4-0.
- Tulsa was picked to finish second with three first place votes in the American Athletic Conference preseason coaches' poll. Alex Lopez was picked as preseason goalkeeper of the year. Wes Bottenburg, Malik Henry-Scott and Lopez were named preseason all-conference.
