TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts volleyball team concludes its 2023 non-conference slate with a pair of matches at the UIW Cardinal Classic on Friday inside the McDermott Center in San Antonio, Texas. The Golden Eagles will face off against UTSA at 2 p.m. followed by Incarnate Word at 6 p.m.Â

Opening Serve
• ORU is looking to snap its four-match losing streak after dropping a hard-fought contest at No. 20 Kansas on Tuesday night.Â
• Outside hitter
Trinity Freeman continues to have the hot hand for the Golden Eagles as the junior has reached double-figure kills in three straight matches and four of the last five. In Tuesday's match at No. 20 Kansas, Freeman recorded a match-best 11 kills, marking the 37th double-digit kill performance of her career. Among the Summit League, Freeman leads all players in kills (113) and kills per set (3.53). The Phoenix, Arizona, native also ranks second in total points (122.0).
• Setter
Kalena Vaivai continues to guide the ORU offensive attack as the senior ranks fourth in the League in assists with 260. Entering Friday's matches, Vaivai sits 129 assists away from 1,000 in her ORU career.
• Freshman
Hannah Jackson is coming off the best performance of her young career as the Carrollton, Texas, native downed a season-best five kills on 14 swings for a .286 hitting percentage at No. 20 Kansas.
• Libero
Breanna Rivas leads the ORU defense as the junior has scooped up a team-best 106 digs on the year. At the net, sophomore
Kedron Burk has registered a team-best 13.0 blocks.Â
• As a team, the Golden Eagles lead the Summit League in total attacks (1,187) and rank second in total digs (494) and attacks per set (37.09). At the national level, ORU ranks 26th in attacks per set.
Inside the Matchup: UTSA
• The Golden Eagles and the Roadrunners meet for the first time since 1995 on Friday afternoon.
• ORU leads the all-time series, 4-1, and claimed the last meeting between the two sides in straight sets.Â
• UTSA has dropped back-to-back contests and is 5-4 on the year.

• Friday night's match marks the fourth meeting all-time between the Golden Eagles and Cardinals.Â
