TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts volleyball team opens Summit League play inside their new home, the Mabee Center, as they face off against North Dakota State on Thursday, September 21 at 7 p.m. followed by North Dakota on Saturday, Sept. 23 at noon.
Both matches are free of admission and will be streamed on the
Summit League Network. Thursday's match will also be available locally on KGEB-TV 53 Tulsa/Cox Cable channel 23.Â

Opening Serve
• Outside hitter
Trinity Freeman continues to lead the offensive attack for the Golden Eagles as the junior has topped the team in kills in seven straight matches and has reached double-figures in the last five. The junior is coming off a career-high 21 kills in the non-conference finale against Incarnate Word. Freeman also collected 12 digs in the contest for her third double-double of the season.
• On the year, Freeman leads ORU with 145 kills and 155.5 points. Among the Summit League, the Phoenix, Arizona, native ranks first in kills per set (3.72) and points per set (3.99).Â
• Setter
Kalena Vaivai continues to guide the Golden Eagle offense as the senior has racked up 324 assists on the year. The Wailuku, Hawaii, native enters conference play 65 assists away from 1,000 for her ORU career.
• Libero
Breanna Rivas anchors the ORU defense as the junior ranks fourth among the League in digs per set (3.68) and fifth in total digs (140). In the Golden Eagles' last match, Rivas scooped up a career-best 26 digs.Â
• Freshman
Hannah Jackson has come on strong of late for ORU as the Carrollton, Texas, native has put down 23 kills in her last three matches. Against Incarnate Word, Jackson totaled a season-best 15 kills.
• As a team, the Golden Eagles lead the Summit League in attacks per set (37.03) and rank inside the top three in digs per set (15.15), total digs (591) and total attacks (1,444).Â
• Thursday's contest marks ORU's first inside the Mabee Center in over 20 years.Â
• In home openers, the Golden Eagles are 26-19 all-time.Â
Inside the Matchup: North Dakota State
• The Golden Eagles and Bison meet for the 36th time on Thursday night.
• In the Summit League Preseason Poll, North Dakota State was picked to finish second.
• The Bison enter Thursday's matchup with an 8-3 mark and are led by Ali Hinze (137 kills) and Kelley Johnson (421 assists).
