The victory over the Mavericks gave ORU its first win in Omaha since 2014.

The Golden Eagles played with an edge from the opening whistle and channeled that energy into a steady offensive pressure throughout the game.

Sophomore Carty Kingsbury opened the scoring for ORU in the 41st minute. Kingsbury launched a rocket from outside the box that went past the keepers outstretched hands and laced the back of the net for her second score of the year. Carys Torgesen and Samantha Guzman earned an assist on the goal.

The Golden Eagles held their 1-0 lead for the remainder of the half.

At the 62nd minute, ORU would score again to increase its lead to two. Ariana Fresquez lofted a corner kick into the middle of the box that found Gabrielle Abbey who knocked it in. This notched Abbey's fourth goal of the season.

Omaha wouldn't go away. In the 82nd minute, Marissa Gohr capitalized off of a free kick as she got behind the defense and cut the lead in half.
