St. Paul, Minn. – Colin Spuler's first career goal propelled the Golden Eagles back into the win column in a Summit League showdown this afternoon in Minnesota.

In the first 45 minutes of play, the Golden Eagles threatened the Tommies early but 10 shots off of eight corners were unable to find the back of the net.

However, 18 minutes into the second half, Thiago Patto was able to loft a ball to the feet of Spuler who beat a defender and the keeper to break the tie.

The Tommies would play a very physical second half as they desperately tried to find an equalizer, but Luis Flores would find Omar Mora in a flurry of St. Thomas defenders and the two forwards would put the game out of reach for the Tommies as ORU walked away with a 2-0 shutout.
