VERMILLION, S.D. – The Oral Roberts women's soccer team earned a point on the road after a late Coyote goal tied the match Thursday night in Vermillion.
 
ORU found itself in the scoring column early in the match. In the 20^th minute, Ariana Fresquez launched a right-to-left cross into the Coyote box. Julia Thasaphong rose above her defender and headed the pass into the back right corner of the net for her sixth goal of the season. The Golden Eagle remained aggressive on offense taking 10 shots in the final 25 minutes of the half, but were unable to connect on any. ORU took its 1-0 lead into the break.
 
After halftime, the Golden Eagles continued to seek out goal scoring opportunities while playing a sound defensive match. In the 87^th minute, however, South Dakota took a corner kick that flicked off an ORU defender and turned into an own goal. The Golden Eagles were unable find another score in the final three minutes of play and walked away with a 1-1 draw.
