TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team picked up their second straight Mayor's Cup win over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, a feat that hadn't been accomplished since 2017.

Ruthie Udoumoh picked up season-highs in points and rebounds this afternoon, scoring 19 points on 7-15 shooting while grabbing 16 boards. Udoumoh logged her 31
st career double-double and second straight on the season.
Jalei Oglesby also had a stellar performance, carding a first-half double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds on the game. Oglesby's double-double performance was the fifth of her career and first of the 2024-25 season.
Makyra Tramble was a force on both sides of the floor, racking up 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals.
The Golden Eagles fell behind 1-6 early in the game but responded with a 10-0 run of their own behind two

Jalei Oglesby stretched the ORU lead to five, holding a 15-10 edge after the first quarter.
ORU dominated both ends of the floor in a game-altering second quarter.
Jalei Oglesby came alive, logging six points and nine boards. ORU's defense held Tulsa to 13.3% shooting and just seven points in the quarter, six of which came in the final minute of the first half. A 13-0 run allowed the Golden Eagles to extend their lead to 18 points and by halftime, ORU held a commanding 32-17 lead.
Tulsa seemed to begin a comeback in the third but ORU responded, matching Tulsa's 19 points in the quarter. Udoumoh continued her dominance in the paint, bringing in five boards and scoring five points. The Golden Eagles entered the final 10 minutes with a 51-36 lead, eager to close the game out.
The Golden Hurricane eventually cut the Golden Eagles lead to 10, starting to draw fouls and force turnovers late in the quarter. ORU weathered Tulsa's final push picking up a 67-56 win. The Golden Eagles have now won back-to-back Mayor's Cups for the first time since 2017 as they continue to kick off their 2024-25 campaign on a high note.
