TULSA, Okla. – ORU Athletics and Athletic Director Tim Johnson issued a statement regarding the status of the ORU Volleyball program.

"Today, I informed Luke Ward and our volleyball team that a change will be made in the head coach position effective immediately. We want to thank Coach Ward for his service and dedication to ORU. After a thorough evaluation, we felt a change in leadership was necessary. We could not be more excited about the future of the program. After a recent extensive capital project, ORU volleyball has some of the best facilities in the country. All the pieces are in place to elevate the program to compete at the highest level while building a championship culture and developing young women in mind, body, and spirit. A nationwide search for the next head coach will begin immediately."
