TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts baseball team fell to Evansville, 14-3, Saturday afternoon in freezing temperatures at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
Martell Davis knocked his first-career NCAA home run with a deep fly to left field and Kyle Booker collected his first two RBI's of the season.
ORU jumped out to an early two-run lead in the first after Booker was able to place a well-hit ball into center field. However, Evansville would respond with a three-run homer by Chase Hug to take the lead for themselves.
The Purple Aces would increase the Golden Eagles' deficit with a six-and-five-run inning as ORU would reach deep in the bullpen utilizing seven total pitchers on the day.
Despite a late homer by Davis in the seventh inning, the visitors would cruise to a 14-3 victory tying the series at one apiece.
