TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team defeated the South Dakota, 77-63, Saturday afternoon for their first ever season sweep of the Coyotes.

Hannah Cooper prior to the game.
Jalei Oglesby led all scorers this afternoon netting 18 points off the bench shooting 8-of-12 from the floor. Oglesby highlighted a balanced offensive attack as five Golden Eagles reached double-digit scoring. Cooper scored 15,
Taleyah Jones and
Emily Robinson added 12, and Udoumoh chipped in 10.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a quick first quarter lead behind eight points from Cooper. At the first media timeout, ORU led 7-6. Between the 3:16 and 2:14 minute mark, the Golden Eagles went on a blazing 10-0 run. Oglesby sparked the run with a fastbreak layup and Jones followed with two free throws. Off a missed Coyote layup, Cooper converted on a fastbreak layup and the foul. After a USD turnover, Cooper found Robinson in transition as the freshman buried her first three of the game. ORU maintained pressure on its opponent for the remaining minutes and held a 21-11 lead after the first quarter.
ORU opened the second quarter with a 14-0 run going back to the 1:27 mark in the first. Oglesby, Cooper, and Jones kept the defense on its heels with their ability to drive in the paint and create for other. The Golden Eagles maintained their distance from the Coyotes and took a 41-24 lead into halftime.
Robinson opened second half scoring knocking down her second three of the game. The Coyotes responded with a 6-0 run before Oglesby hit a midrange jumper to calm the run. The scoring remained mostly even for the remainder of the quarter as ORU scored 20 points and USD scored 19.
USD made runs at the Golden Eagles in various moments during the fourth quarter, but ORU fended off the Coyotes and kept their distance. The Golden Eagles closed out the remained of the quarter and claimed the 77-63 win. Today's win over the Coyotes secured ORU's first ever season sweep over South Dakota.
