Record: ORU (11-12), (5-5) – St. Thomas (16-9), (6-4)

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Kareem Thompson and Issac McBride both scored in double-digits as the Oral Roberts men's basketball team fell to St. Thomas, 85-63, Thursday night in Schoenecker Arena.

A strong start from St. Thomas gave the Tommies an early lead, and while neither team had a double-digit run in the game, UST found its way to a 52-31 halftime lead. ORU was able to slow down the St. Thomas attack in the second half, but could never get the offense going, shooting just 37% from the field and 30% from three-point range in the game.

Individually, ORU was led by Thompson with 12 points. His seven rebounds were also tied with UST's Parker Bjorklund for the game-high. McBride added 11 points and had a team-high five assists. Braeden Moore was the third Golden Eagle in double-figures, scoring 10 points on 3-5 three-point shooting. Moore was two points shy of tying his career high.

The Tommies got a game-high 19 points from Bjorklund, who also dished out four assists. Kendall Blue added 18 points for UST and Raheem Anthony chipped in 11 points and a game-high six rebounds.

While the Golden Eagles struggled to make shots, ORU did secure 13 offensive rebounds and had a 12-4 advantage on second-chance points. The Oral Roberts bench made a strong effort, scoring 28 points including eight from Josh Jones on 3-for-3l shooting. However, foul trouble limited Jones to just 11 minutes in the game.

Despite the challenging outing, Oral Roberts remains just two games back of first place in the Summit League standings with a game still to play against both North Dakota and South Dakota State, who are currently first and second respectively.
