TULSA, Okla.– The Oral Roberts baseball team built momentum last night as they propelled their first road win earlier this week into their first Summit League victory of the season on Friday night.
Jakob Hall toed the rubber for the Golden Eagles and put on a pitching masterclass in front of the home crowd. The junior out ofÂ
Bartlesville quickly went to work on the Bison's lineup, fanning seven batters through the first five innings.
Despite giving up a few runs, the right-hander remained poised, collecting three more strikeouts, and getting the green light to enter the ninth for his chance at his first complete game.Â
Hall would take on the heart of NDSU's order and quickly dispersed their 3-4-5 batters, striking out the side to finish with a new career-high 13 strikeouts.
On offense the Golden Eagles provide more than enough run support to keep North Dakota State at bay.
Sam Thompson homered in first two at bats for a combined distance of 855 feet.
Holden Breeze,
Martell Davis, and
Elijah Rodriguez all drove in runs of their own as well.
Notably,
Cameron LaLiberte made his return to the lineup for the first time since opening weekend and singled in his first at bat back in action.
