OMAHA, Neb.– The Oral Roberts baseball team took on the Omaha Mavericks in Game 2 in a back and forth affair that ended in a walk-off for the Mavericks.

In the opening inning ORU took an early two-run lead off a triple from Sam Thompson, however that lead would be short lived Omaha put up five runs in response.

Jared Ure was then called from the bullpen to keep the Golden Eagles in the fight, and the reliever from Colorado did just that, striking out eight batters in 4.2 innings of shutout work.

As Ure went to work, RBI's from Elijah Rodriguez and Alex Rodgers helped the Oral Roberts climb within one run of Omaha.

Caleb Issacs later appeared for the Golden Eagles in the seventh and picked up right where Ure left off, collecting the bullpen's 10th strikeout of the game.

Chaos would then ensue as a Cameron LaLiberte ball caused an error allowing Martell Davis to score and tie the game at five.

Unfortunately the Mavericks were able to load the bases in the ninth and escape with a walk-off walk to end the game.
