TULSA, Okla.– The Oral Roberts baseball team would split a doubleheader against UMass Lowell after a rain-out would cancel their Friday night matchup.
In game one, the Golden Eagles would take a 4-1 lead into the ninth inning with
Garrett Casey delivering on offense with a mulit-RBI outing while
Jakob Hall would have his best outing of the season tossing seven innings of one-run ball along with seven strikeouts.
The Riverhawks would tie the game on a two-run homer, however
Holden Breeze would deliver the first walk-off of 2024, scoring
Elijah Rodriguez with a single to left field.
Shortly after in game two, the Golden Eagles would cruise through the first six innings of the ballgame thanks to a big day at the plate by Rodriguez and
Brooks Fowler fanning nine UML batters.
Unfortunately the Riverhawks would come alive and score ten unanswered runs, most notably a seven-run seventh inning that would help them steal the series from ORU.
