Fargo, N.D.– The Oral Roberts baseball team fell to NDSU in Sunday's rubber match 5-4 this afternoon at Newman Outdoor Field
Drew Stahl got the Golden Eagles the early lead in the top of the first, driving in Alex Rodgers with an RBI single. However the Bison would take the lead scoring two runs in the next three innings as both squads turned to their bullpens to duel the final five frames.
Trent Martin, Jared Ure, Conner Floyd, and Ryan Carmack were all called for relief appearances and they answered with three innings of shutout ball to keep ORU in the fight. The lineup would hold their end of the bargain, as Rodgers took over the game in the seventh collecting an RBI double and later beating out a throw to give the Golden Eagles a 4-2 lead.
Unfortunately in the ninth, the Bison were able to steal another win as North Dakota State rallied for three runs capped off by Garret Hill's second consecutive walk-off hit.
