McBride’s Marvelous Night Not Enough as #ORUMBB Falls to NDSU

TULSA, Okla. – Issac McBride scored a career-high 44 points, but it was not enough as the Oral Roberts men's basketball team fell 96-110 in an up-and-down battle at the Mabee Center.
 
North Dakota State started off hot, scoring 14 points in the opening 3:30 of the game. A by Darius Robinson Jr. at the 14:25 minute mark brought ORU within four points of the Bison, but NDSU went on a 16-5 run over the ensuing 4:27. Six different Bison scored during the run, led by six from Jacksen Moni. NDSU held a consistent double-digit lead over the Golden Eagles for the remainder of the half and took a 56-43 lead into the break.
 
The second half was all about Issac McBride as the graduate student scored 31 of his 44 points in the final 20 minutes of play. McBride converted on back-to-back fast break layups at the 14:49 mark as ORU trailed by 15 points. The Bison continued to dominate in the paint as Jackson Moni went for 14 second-half points. The Golden Eagles cut NDSU's lead down to 11 with 6:43 remaining, but the Bison immediately responded with a 7-0 run jumpstarted by a three from Masen Miller. Despite McBride's all-time heroics, NDSU was able to hang onto its lead and earn the 110-96 win.
