TULSA, Okla. – ORU dominated the opening half, registering 12 shots with 7 on target. They struck early in the 11th minute and added a second in the 27th to take a commanding 2-0 lead into halftime. South Dakota struggled to generate offense, failing to record a single shot in the first half.

The second half saw ORU continue to apply heavy pressure, firing 11 more shots. However, it was South Dakota who found the net just one minute after the restart, cutting the deficit to 2-1. Despite ORU's continued aggression, they couldn't add to their tally, but held on to secure the 2-1 victory.
