ORU came out strong in the first half against North Dakota, taking nine shots compared to North Dakota's six. Despite the offensive efforts from both sides, neither team was able to find the back of the net, resulting in a 0-0 score at halftime.
The second half was a hard-fought battle. North Dakota fired off four shots and broke the deadlock in the 54th minute, catching the Golden Eagles off guard. ORU responded with determination, taking six shots and leveling the score in the 73rd minute. Just four minutes later, in the 77th minute, ORU found the back of the net again, this time with the game-winning goal. The Golden Eagles held strong for the remainder of the match to complete the comeback with a 2-1 victory.
