TULSA, Okla. – Redshirt freshman Aiden Ussery netted his first career goal as the Oral Roberts men's soccer team shut out Massachusetts, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon.
The victory marks the Golden Eagles' first in Summit League play, improving their record to 4-8-1 overall and 1-2 in conference action.
The match stayed level through the first half, but the Golden Eagle's game winning goal came in the 78th minute as Jeff Mesidor placed a deflected corner back in the box for Ussery to shoot past two Minutemen and find the lower left corner. ORU solidified its win just two minutes later as Emmanuel Denis delivered a cross from 30 yards out that found Emilio Cazares, who tallied his third goal of the season.
