OMAHA, Neb. – The Golden Eagles fell to the Omaha Mavericks in three sets, closing out their second-to-last full weekend on the road.
 
In set one, the Golden Eagles found themselves in an early deficit, trailing by as many as seven points as Omaha grabbed the advantage for good at 17-16. A 25-19 second set put ORU down 2-0, in a set that was tied up seven times before the Mavericks took over the lead. In set three, the Golden Eagles lost the first point and never took the lead before losing the set 25-15.
 
Game Notes

• Farah Helmy had a team-high two aces in the loss.
• Cortnee Smith had a team-high 12 kills.
• ORU got a team-high eight digs from Hayden Hart.
• Golden Eagle attackers were helped by a team-high 15 assists from Sophie Johnson.
