DENVER, Colo. – The Golden Eagles fell in three sets to the Denver Pioneers in their second-to-last road trip of the season.
ORU came up short in a back-and-forth first set that featured 10 lead changes and was tied 12 times. Neither team led by more than four points in the set. In set two, ORU trailed by as many as 10 points as Denver grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 in a set that was knotted up just once before the Pioneers took over the lead. The Golden Eagles couldn't prolong the match and lost in set three after trailing by as many as 13 points. Denver grabbed the advantage for good at 5-4 in a third set that was tied three times.
