TULSA, Okla. – The Golden Eagles picked up their 20
th win of the season on Saturday night, defeating the Kansas City Roos in an offensive showdown, 109-88. The win marked back-to-back 20+ win seasons for the program for the first time since 2010-11 and 2011-12.

Taleyah Jones led the Golden Eagles in scoring for the third straight game, logging 28 points on 11-21 shooting from the field to go along with six boards.
Jalei Oglesby followed Jones' 28 with 27 points of her own, shooting 10-17 from the field while grabbing five rebounds.
Meghan Weinrich set a new career-high in points, scoring 16 on the night, shooting a team-high 6-8 (75.0%) from the field.
Ruthie Udoumoh tallied 15 points while leading the team in rebounds, with eight.
Emily Robinson finished in double-figures for the 11
th time this season, putting 11 points on the stat sheet.

The Golden Eagles looked slow out of the gate, allowing a 6-0 Roo run in the first 2:04 of action. Back-to-back jumpers from
Meghan Weinrich helped ORU get back into a rhythm, cutting a once six-point deficit, to one (9-10). Six points from
Jalei Oglesby in the final 3:23 of the quarter helped the Golden Eagles spark an 11-4 run during the time frame, leading 28-20 after one.
The first nine points in the second came from Weinrich and Oglesby before Jones knocked down two layups and a triple to bump ORU's lead up to 20 (45-25).
Mary Carden and
Emily Robinson closed out the half, scoring the Golden Eagles' last six points of the second. A game-high 29-point quarter broke this one open, giving ORU a 57-36 lead heading into the break.

The third quarter seemed to go the Roos way, with ORU scoring 25 points to Kansas City's 27. Despite shooting 11-19 (57.9%) to Kansas City's 8-16 (50.0%) from the field, the Golden Eagles were unable to overcome foul troubles. A 10-13 frame at the line gave Kansas City the points they needed to regain some momentum coming out of the break and heading into the fourth.

Just 12 seconds into the final quarter, an and-one layup from
Taleyah Jones was just what the Golden Eagles needed to catch a spark.
Emily Robinson made her impact, making two tough baskets mid-quarter. Five straight points from Jones with just 3:28 to play put ORU up 20 (101-81). Jones capped off the scoring, knocking down two free throws as the Golden Eagles defeated the Roos 109-88.
