TULSA, Okla. – The Golden Eagles avenged a mid-season loss to the Bison, defeating North Dakota State 100-84 at home. ORU secured second place in the Summit League regular season and will await their opponent for the Summit League tournament from March 5
th-9
th in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. On top of the win, the Golden Eagles recorded their first 14+ win season at home since 2000-2001 while tallying their fifth 12+ win season in conference play in program history.

Taleyah Jones and
Jalei Oglesby each scored 28 points in the outing, shooting a combined 23-38 (60.5%) from the field.
Ruthie Udoumoh carded 14 points, shooting 5-8 from the field to go along with four steals.
Meghan Weinrich and
Emily Robinson each scored 12 points, on the afternoon, shooting 5-8 and 5-6, respectively. Weinrich led the Golden Eagles in rebounds, grabbing seven while also shooting a game-high 83.3% in the contest.

ORU opened the game on a 5-0 run behind buckets from
Ruthie Udoumoh and
Emily Robinson. With 6:46 left in the first, three straight layups turned an 8-5 lead into a 14-5 lead. The Golden Eagles and Bison traded baskets for the final 2:05 of the quarter as the Golden Eagles shot an astounding 14-19 from the field in the frame, earning a 31-18 lead after one.
The Bison seemed to answer in the second, outscoring the Golden Eagles 23-20.
Meghan Weinrich and
Jalei Oglesby kicked off quarter two with a layup and a jumper as ORU held an 11-point lead (36-25). With 6:37 to play in the half,
Taleyah Jones knocked down her first triple of the game as ORU and NDSU remained in a steady flow for the rest of the quarter. A 5-6 trip to the line in the final 2:31 of the half left ORU up 51-41 at the break.

Jones made her second triple of the game, putting the Golden Eagles up 56-45 before
Makyra Tramble made a layup to close out a 7-2 run to open the third. Another 8-2 Golden Eagle run took place from the 4:27 mark to 3:12 as ORU increased their lead to 18 (68-50). ORU headed into the final ten minutes of play with a 73-59 advantage.

The fourth quarter was an offensive shootout, with ORU scoring 27 points to NDSU's 25. A 13-19 shooting performance from the Golden Eagles topped 9-10 shooting from the line for the Bison.
Azailah Funches knocked down the final jumper of the game to get the Golden Eagles to 100 points, securing the 100-84 win to clinch the #2 spot in the Summit League regular season and tournament.
