OMAHA, Neb. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team fell 80-57 Saturday afternoon to the first-place Omaha Mavericks in Baxter Arena.
 
ORU started the game competitively, keeping pace with Omaha in a fast-moving first half. Jalen Miller provided a spark with two three-pointers, and Darius Robinson Jr. added key perimeter shooting to help the Golden Eagles stay within striking distance. Despite struggling on the boards, ORU shot 50% from the field and hit six threes in the first half. However, Omaha's balanced scoring attack and ability to generate second-chance points gave them a slight edge, sending ORU into the break trailing 41-38.
 
The second half was a different story, as ORU's offense went cold, shooting just 21.4% from the field and 17.6% from three. Omaha ramped up their defensive pressure, forcing tough shots and limiting ORU's opportunities in the paint. While Miller and Robinson Jr. tried to keep ORU afloat, the Golden Eagles had no answer for a 21-0 Omaha run that blew the game wide open. The Mavericks dominated in transition and on the boards, sealing an 80-57 victory over ORU.
