KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The ORU women's tennis team went 2-1 on the road during in their first weekend of Summit League play.

In doubles play, ORU fell on courts two and three in their match against UND while the match on court one was declared unfinished. Against USD Grammatikaki/Morini defeated Oliveiera/Caves 6-4 while Franzin/Cervantes took down Curcic/Bird 6-4 to secure the point. Another 6-1 win came out of the paur of Grammatikaki/Morini against UMKC, defeating Miralles/Gati. The duo of Sorokina/Wise secured the doubles point against UMKC, picking up a 6-2 win over Chrobak/Marshman.
 
Chara Grammatikaki and Luna Morini earned the Kwik Star Summit League Women's Tennis Team of the Week award for their 2-0 performance against USD and Kansas City, taking down Oliviera/Caves (USD) 6-4 and Gati/Cardona (UMKC) 6-1.

In singles play against North Dakota, Arina Sorokina and Luna Morini each picked up wins of 6-4, 7-5 and 6-4, 6-2, securing the only two points for ORU in the contest. Over the two matches against South Dakota and Kansas City, Arina Sorokina went 2-0 on court one while Luna Morini, Ava Goodell, Cassie Cervantes and Cecilia Franzin all went 1-1.
 
Sorokina clinched the women's tennis Kwik Star Summit League Peak Performer of the Week Award for her wins over Bea Havlickova (USD) 6-0, 7-5 and Joana Miralles Cardona (UMKC) 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
