TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team and head coach Kory Barnett have announced the addition of freshman guard Cal Furnish to the 2025-26 roster.

"We're thrilled to welcome Cal Furnish to the Oral Roberts basketball family," said Coach Barnett. "As one of the top players in Oklahoma, it means a lot that Cal chose to stay home and represent his state with pride by wearing ORU across his chest. His feel for the game, high basketball IQ, and relentless work ethic make him a player who can make a real impact in our program."

Furnish, a 6-foot playmaker from Crossings Christian School, is a three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 3 overall player in Oklahoma for the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Furnish collected countless accolades in his high school career, including OBCA Region 8 Player of the Year, The Oklahoman's 2025 high school boys Super 5, and The Oklahoman's 2025 Little All-City high school boys basketball first team. As a senior, Furnish averaged 17.8 points, 7.0 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game and led his team to the 4A state championship game. He leaves Crossings Christian as the all-time leader in points and assists.
