SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Thirty-four Summit League outdoor track and field student-athletes, 16 women and 18 men, have been named to the 2025 Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-League Team as voted on by a panel of Faculty Athletic Representatives and Sports Information Directors from the League's member institutions. The recipients were chosen based on their academic and athletic performances during the outdoor season.
North Dakota State landed a League-leading nine selections overall, including topping women's team with four and men's team with five, respectively. South Dakota State earned seven overall selections, while South Dakota garnered five and North Dakota landed four. Omaha and St. Thomas each had three representatives, while Oral Roberts had two, and Kansas City had one.
The Fighting Hawks' Malene Kollberg, the Coyotes' duo of Sara Reifenrath and Averi Schmeichel, and the Jackrabbits' Hunter Wallster earned a spot on the team for the third time in their respective careers.
Receiving their second career accolades were UND's Jadyn Keeler, the NDSU trio of Merrideth Spiers, Sam Roller, and Jacob Van Dusseldorp, the UST duo of Jack Rosner and Mitchell Piehl, the USD trio of Cassidy Mooneyhan, Bennett Schwenn and Spencer Buley and SDSU's Kayla Christopherson.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's eight institutions that carry track and field, and voting is conducted by both the SIDs and facility athletic representatives (FARs). Each team is made up of the 15 student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
