TULSA, OK. – The Golden Eagles entered the matchup looking to extend their four-game shutout win streak. From the opening whistle, the game was physical and evenly matched. In the first half, ORU managed just four shots two of which were on target but couldn't find the back of the net. Oklahoma State recorded five shots, with three on goal, but both teams went into halftime scoreless at 0-0. A key moment came in the 42nd minute when Precious Edosa received the first red card of the season, forcing ORU to play down a player for the remainder of the match.
Despite being down a player, the Golden Eagles came out aggressive in the second half, firing off seven shots in an effort to break the deadlock. However, none found the net. Oklahoma State capitalized in the 59th minute, scoring on their only shot on target of the half to go up 1-0. ORU responded with three quality looks on goal, but each was stopped by the OSU goalkeeper. In the end, the Golden Eagles couldn't convert their chances, and OSU held on to secure the narrow 1-0 victory.
