WASHBURN, KS. – Oral Roberts impressed at the Washburn Open on Friday and Saturday, with many athletes recording new career bests, and
Jordan Wenger taking home first in the high jump.Â

Anthony Smith led the way in the high jump for the Golden Eagles, placing second in a 16-jumper field reaching the 1.99 M jump, a new personal record. Right behind him was teammate
Jamin Andrews, placing third with his best jump coming in at 1.94 M.Â
Woedem Vasmark-Voegborlo capped off the top 10, reaching 1.84 M in his best jump.

In the 4000 M distance medley relay, the ORU women placed fourth in a 17-team competition, posting a time of 12:14.55. The team featured
Lillian Woolery,
Hannah Vanderburg,
Zoie Kiddy, and
Madeline Cabana. Their performance has them ranked at 30
th in Division I indoor track and field.

Other standouts included
Ossly Murambidzi, setting a PR in the women's 3000 M, posting a time of 9:53:30.Â
Olivia Granderson qualified for the semi-finals of the 60 M, competing in a 100-athlete field. Â
Kenneth Ikutiminu wrapped up day one, putting together his personal best in both the 60 M at 7.05 seconds and the 200 M at 22.29 seconds.

Day two featured more of the same from the Golden Eagles as
Madeline Cabana set a new personal best in the mile, finishing sixth, with a time of 4:56.48.Â

In the high jump,
Jordan Wenger continues his impressive sophomore season, winning the high jump with a 2.09M performance, just a week after setting a new program record.
Kellen Rutledge was in the mix as well, finishing third, matching Wenger's jump of 2.09 M, a new personal record. On the women's side,
Destiny Downing placed fourth with a 1.65 M jump.Â
