TULSA, Okla. – The ORU women's golf program opened its spring season in The Woodlands, Texas, participating in the Texas Golf Throwdown.
Avery Blake placed third individually, firing 72-71-74 (+1) over the three-round tournament.
The Woodlands CC is a par-72 course that plays 6,311 yards. The average score over the three-round tournament was 78.09.
As a team, ORU shot 311-305-309 and finished 61-over par. #40 Iowa State claimed the team title, shooting two under par on the week (294-281-287). Nichakorn Pinprayoon carded 69-71-70 (-6) and won the individual title.
Avery Blake placed third in her hometown, shooting 71-72-74 to finish the Texas Golf Throwdown at three-under par.
Jayla Kucy finished six shots back of Blake, putting together rounds of 77-72-74 to finish the week at seven-over par, securing a T14 finish.
Lydia Swan shot 82-77-79 (+22), closing out the Texas Golf Throwdown tied for 50
th.
Anna Swan carded rounds of 80-85-82, finishing 66
th.
Charlotte Stick did not complete all three rounds of the Texas Golf Throwdown.
