RALEIGH, N.C. – The ORU women's golf program competed in the City of Oaks Collegiate from March 22-24 in Raleigh, N.C. at Lonnie Poole GC. The Golden Eagles finished in eighth place out of 13 teams.
Lonnie Poole GC is a par-72 course that plays 6,168 yards. The average score over the three-round tournament was 77.91, nearly six strokes over par.
As a team, ORU shot 302-302-322 and finished 62 over par. NC State (#44) claimed the team title, shooting 24 over par on the week (296-286-306). Marie Madsen (#23) took home the individual title, shooting two under par (74-68-72).
Anna Swan placed T16, shooting 76-75-79 to finish the City of Oaks Collegiate at 14 over par.
Avery Blake finished one shot back of Swan, putting together rounds of 75-75-81 to finish the week at 15 over par, securing a T22 finish.
Jayla Kucy shot 75-76-82 (+17), closing out the Daniel Island Invitational tied for 31st.
Khloe Jones carded rounds of 76-78-80, finishing T35.
Lydia Swan finished at 19 over par, shooting 77-76-82 and placing T42.
