DANIEL ISLAND, S.C. – The ORU women's golf program participated in the Daniel Island Invitational from March 2-3 in Daniel Island, S.C. at the Daniel Island Club. Three Golden Eagles placed in the top 30 as ORU placed sixth out of 15 teams.
The Daniel Island Club is a par-72 course that plays 6,166 yards. The average score over the three-round tournament was 75.50.
As a team, ORU shot 298-292-290 and finished sixteen-over par. High Point claimed the team title, shooting even par on the week (294-286-284). Marie Madsen took home the individual title, shooting seven under par (70-71-68).
Anna Swan placed 11th, shooting 71-73-72 to finish the Daniel Island Invitational at even-par.
Avery Blake finished four shots back of Swan, putting together rounds of 72-74-74 to finish the week at four-over par, securing a T18 finish.
Freshman,
Khloe Jones, shot 79-72-73 (+8), closing out the Daniel Island Invitational tied for 29
th.
Lydia Swan carded rounds of 81-74-71, finishing T41. Swan's third round 71 was one of two rounds under par by the Golden Eagles.
Jayla Kucy finished at twelve-over par, shooting 76-73-79.
