INDIANAPOLIS – Oral Roberts Athletics and the Horizon League have announced the addition of ORU as an affiliate member for men's tennis, beginning with the 2026-27 season. The Golden Eagles joins current affiliates Belmont, USI and Tennessee State.
 
"We are excited to add Oral Roberts University as our fourth men's tennis affiliate member to create a strong nine-team League," said Horizon League Commissioner Jill Bodensteiner. "The Horizon League and our members are committed to the sport of men's tennis and providing major regular season and championship experiences for all our student-athletes."
 
With the addition of ORU, nine programs will now compete in Horizon League men's tennis.
 
"We're excited to join the Horizon League as an affiliate member in men's tennis and grateful for the opportunity to compete alongside outstanding institutions that share our commitment to excellence," said ORU Director of Athletics Tim Johnson. "This partnership provides our student-athletes with a highly competitive championship experience while positioning our program for continued growth and look forward to building strong relationships across the conference."
 
The League will have two divisions during the regular season with the top three teams from each division advancing to the #HLTennis Championship at Purdue University in April. The North Division will feature full-time HL members Cleveland State, IU Indianapolis, NIU and Youngstown State, while the South Division includes full-time member Northern Kentucky and affiliate members Belmont, Oral Roberts, Tennessee State and USI.
 
Spring 2027 League schedules will be released at a later date.
