TULSA, Okla. - Head Coach Nolan Albrecht and the Oral Roberts volleyball program will begin their 2026 campaign at the LSU New Orleans-Nicholls Volleyball Invitational. 

Opening Serve 

• Head coach Nolan Albrecht is in his second year as the head coach of the ORU volleyball program. 
• Coach Albrecht added Karl France and Ariana Pagan Munoz to his staff as assistant coaches this offseason. 
• The Golden Eagles have welcomed 13 newcomers this offseason, six of whom are freshmen. 
• Setter Ana Appel and outside hitter Cortnee Smith were named Summit League Preseason Players to Watch. 

Inside the Matchup: Nicholls 

• The Golden Eagles will play against the Nicholls Colonels on Friday at 5PM. The last matchup was in 2023 season setting the record 5-0 since their first ever game in 2003. 
• Jonea Rima enters her fourth season as the head coach with the Nicholls. She holds a 24-60 record in her past 3 years with the volleyball team. 

Inside the Matchup: Stonehill 

• ORU has never faced the Stonehill Sky Hawks. The first-ever matchup will take place on Friday at 2PM. 
• Craig Martin enters his eight season with the Sky Hawks and holds a 60-120 record over 7 years. 

Inside the Matchup: New Orleans 

• The Golden Eagles faced New Orleans Privateers in 2013 winning both matches that year. The matchup is scheduled for Saturday at 4:30PM. 
• Ashley Preston enters her sixth season and holds a 35-107 career record during her time at New Orleans.
