Earned a win against UMBC a week later, striking out eight over a six-inning, two-hit shutout ... Allowed just one earned run over six innings in a win against St. John's on March 1 ... Posted a team-best 1.99 ERA over his four starts.

Began his collegiate career at Cowley College after playing his high school ball at Springdale High School in Springdale, Arkansas ... Was named the 7A West Newcomer of the Year and All-State pitcher in 2016 ... Also earned All-State honors as a shortstop in 2017.
