Afenir made the move to first base for ORU to earn First Team All-Summit League honors after hitting .347 on the season ranking 10^th best in conference play … He finished with 43 RBI and 102 total bases while finishing second on the Golden Eagles team with 75 hits … He has 21 multiple hit games and posted a season high 10-game hit streak while also carrying a five game hit streak into the NCAA tournament … He has a season-high four hits in the series finale against Omaha on March 29 going 4-for-5 with 4 RBI … The senior also had a career day at No. 12 Oklahoma State going 2-for-4 with six RBI and three runs scored in a win over the Cowboys.

2014
Started 51 games behind the plate as a redshirt junior… Hit .247 with seven doubles and a home run… Had the fourth highest RBI total on the team with 26… Hit a grand slam and scored twice in a blowout victory over Northwestern State (3/14) in the Southland Conference opener… Picked up three hits against Sam Houston State (4/18)… Went 2-for-4 with three RBI in the series finale at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (4/27)… Finished the season with five hits in the final series versus Lamar… Threw out 15 base runners trying to steal, eighth most in the Southland.

2013
Played in three games before undergoing season-ending elbow surgery... Batted .125, with one hit in eight at-bats... Recorded his lone hit and run versus Saint Louis (2/16)... received a medical redshirt.

PRIOR TO ORU
Played two seasons for head coach Buck Taylor at Palomar College in San Marcos, Calif... Batted .335 at the plate with an outstanding .984 fielding percentage... Helped lead his team to a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Championship in 2012... Was named to the All-PCAC First Team both season.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played at Escondido HS... Went to the California Interscholastic Federation playoffs during his freshman season.
