2025 (JUNIOR) 
Makani Tanaka served as ORU's center fielder in all 59 games, starting every contest in his first year with the program...he hit .286 with five homers and 32 RBIs smacking 19 extra base hits in total...he ranked top 10 in the conference in runs scored (47) and at bats (234)...in the field Tanaka was one of the most reliable fielders in the conference with a percentage of .989, tied for tenth in the conference, committing just two errors in 180 chances. 

PRIOR TO ORU - SADDLEBACK COLLEGE (2023-2024)
Was a member of the Saddleback baseball team defeated San Joaquin Delta College, to win the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) state baseball championship. It was the second state title in program history...Batted .365 across 51 games...Hit 5 home runs and 52 RBI...Stole 18 bases.

Tanaka was part of the 2023 Saddleback team that finished as the state runner-up.  He played in 40 games for the Bobcats last season, batting .252 with one home run, 19 RBI and six stolen bases.  Defensively, Tanaka had a .987 fielding percentage in the outfield.

High School
Graduated from Iolani High School (HI) where he lettered in baseball and basketball before graduating in 2022.  While at IHS, Tanaka was an honor roll student.
