Oral Roberts University

Evan Rochat, MAT, LAT, ATC, joined the Oral Roberts Athletic Department as an assistant athletic trainer in August of 2022. Rochat is responsible for the coverage of the Golden Eagle Baseball team.
 
Prior to coming to ORU, Rochat served as an assistant athletic trainer at Northeastern State University. While with the Riverhawks, Rochat worked with the baseball and golf programs, while assisting with the football program. Rochat was responsible for directing the day-to-day care as well as post-operative rehabilitation and injury prevention for his teams. He also supervised and was a preceptor for NSU’s graduate athletic trainer and MAT students.
 
Before joining the staff at NSU, Rochat spent a year working as a certified intern athletic trainer with the Auburn University baseball program. With the Tigers, Rochat assisted with the daily operation of the training room as well as directed pitchers through pre and post-throw arm care routines. He also collaborated with both baseball and medical staff members to implement COVID-19 policies and procedures.
 
Rochat also spent one season as an athletic training intern with the Kansas City Royals AA affiliate, Northwest Arkansas Naturals, where he assisted with daily treatment and rehab, player evaluations and was responsible for management of sports medicine inventory. 

Rochat graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Promotion and continued his education at the University of Arkansas, where he received a Masters in Athletic Training in 2020. Rochat and his wife Ashleigh reside in Broken Arrow.
