Sat out the 2001-02 campaign as a medical redshirt after having back
surgery during the early fall ... Put up impressive numbers at two
small high schools ... Has good size ... Can shoot from the outside and
drive to the basket ... Should continue to improve with playing
experience at the NCAA Division I level ... Will provide depth on the
wing again this season.
SOPHOMORE (2002-03) - Saw action in four games off the bench ... Played a
season-high six minutes and drilled his first career 3-pointer in the
season-opening win over Oklahoma Wesleyan ... Also had court time in
wins over Mississippi Valley State, Colgate and Chicago State ... Made a
layup and had a steal in four minutes of action against the Cougars.
REDSHIRT (2001-02) - Did not play due to lingering back injury.
FRESHMAN (2000-01) - Played in six games off the bench as a true freshman
... Averaged 0.3 points and 0.2 rebounds ... Scored his first collegiate
field goal in his first collegiate game (vs. Southern Arkansas,
11/27/00) ... Also added a rebound and an assist against SAU ... Saw his

HIGH SCHOOL - Played his first three seasons at Fort Bend Baptist Academy
under head coaches Bill Honeck and Lynn Dupree before transferring to
Sweetwater Christian to again play for Honeck ... Scored 3,273 points in
his four-year career ... Averaged more than 22 points per game in each
of his four seasons (22.9, 28.8, 29.2, 32.6) ... Led Sweetwater to a
22-7 record his senior year ... Named MVP after his 1997 and 2000 season
...Named the district's MVP three-straight years (1998, 1999 and 2000)
... Was the leading scoring in the greater Houston area in 1998, 1999
and 2000.
